Restaurant Art Camden Town Zone
Camden Town’s visual theme is the colourful and striking advertising posters created in India in the 1920s to 1930s for western consumer and industrial products.
These are bold, evocative and humorous interplays between western products and Indian visual themes – a form of fusion poster art.
These posters include depictions of British royalty, Indian gods and goddesses advertising soap, Indian villagers juxtaposed with cruise liners, and British figures in an Indian setting.
They combine to provide a rich and varied back drop to our real Indian food and friendly service.
