SPLENDID FESTIVAL DISHES BETWEEN DUSSEHRA & DIWALI
We are now approaching two of the most important Hindu festivals - Dussehra & Diwali.
We are marking these festivals with a unique festival of festive dishes, focusing on Bengal which commemorates Dussehra with particular passion. This Festival will run from 19 October to 11 November.
Dussehra celebrates the triumph of good over evil through special prayers, food offerings, outdoor fairs & large parades. Diwali symbolises the spiritual victory of light over darkness. Revellers illuminate their homes with lamps, offer prayers, light fireworks, & have family feasts.
These dishes comprise Jalebi Chaat; Calcutta Potato Keema Chop; Broccoli, Paneer & Stuffed Red Peppers with Makhni Sauce; Jackfruit Kofta Curry; Seabass in Banana Leaf; Bengal Bhuna Chicken; Hyderabadi Lamb with Potato; Prawn Malai, & a special dessert.
